Phase 1: The Misty Arena and Shadow Summons

The first phase of the fight involves The King in the Poe 2 trade Mists summoning shadow clones of himself and mist-bound creatures to attack players. These clones move erratically in the mist, making it hard to track the real King at first. It's important to focus on avoiding these clones, as they are dangerous, especially if they manage to surround you.

Key Mechanics:

Mist Clone Summon: The King summons several mist clones, which can deal substantial damage. They will occasionally overlap with the real King, making it hard to identify which one to attack. The clones must be destroyed quickly to reduce the number of threats.

Falling Platforms: The mist causes platforms to collapse, so you must keep moving to avoid falling off the arena. Watch for cracks in the platforms and plan your movements accordingly.

Shadow Spells: The King will cast various shadow spells that deal chaos damage and apply blinding effects. These spells will disorient your party, so use resistances and flask-based cleansing to mitigate their effects.

Phase 2: The Wrath of the King

In the second phase, The King in the Mists fully reveals himself and begins to use necro-arcane abilities that manipulate both the living and the dead. He will start summoning undead mobs that must be dealt with quickly to prevent them from overwhelming the party.
